An incredible Literary City, a fabulous International Book Festival, plus a free
and friendly Salon – we’re all together now for July’s Literary Salon.
We’re incredibly lucky to live in a City of Literature, and extremely fortunate to have the Edinburgh International Book Festival on our doorstep. Also, we’re blessed with many fine friends, so this is what our July Salon is all about.
With the Festival’s theme of ‘All Together Now,’ our monthly get-together will be to share our excitement about what’s coming up in August, talk about our own tips and recommendations, and talk to a few special guests associated with the Edinburgh Book Festival.
We’re delighted that two particular friends of ours, who are both in the Festival this year – Catherine Simpson and Charlie Roy – will be dropping in to tell us what they’re up to, and maybe some others will be teasing us into attending lots of events this year.
We’ll probably mention, for another teaser, the call-out for our own anthology project!
Once again we’ll be at the Outhouse, and for those who can’t be with us in person we’ll be live-streaming the ‘formal’ section of the evening (from 7pm) so that everyone can participate. There will be a wine reception, and plenty of time before the presentation begins. We will open the zoom at 6.45, and will welcome our guests at 7pm. Online attendees are welcome to hang around in the zoom for more informal chatter, which we can monitor.

Tickets are available from Eventbrite – please state which ticket type you require as numbers will be limited. We will send a zoom invitation to all attendees anyway.
All Salon Events are free. We invite a small donation (£3) for the glass of wine, or encourage people to buy us a coffee to help fund our work.
