Tuesday the 20th of August, 2024, 7pm, Live and on Zoom
We are pleased to announce this year’s Birthday Bash, NOW WE ARE SIX!
As you may know, our first Salon was in August 2018, and since then we’ve gone from strength to strength, with countless Special Events, two new writing Anthologies, and the usual regular monthly Salon.
NOW WE ARE SIX! will be a literary celebration, with added chat and entertainment.
The Outhouse has again granted us exclusive use of the venue, so weather permitting, we will be in the outside courtyard, starting with a wine reception, and with guests and entertainers sprinkled throughout the evening – lasting until 10pm. After this we can continue partying inside.
This venue is fully accessible, including toilets, at ground floor level. The upstairs Function Room has limited accessibility, so we will only use this if it’s pouring with rain! There are plenty of transport links, but please note Broughton Street Lane has an uneven surface with a few potholes and cobbles.
If you cannot be with us in person, the main part of the evening will be livestreamed.
Tickets are available from Eventbrite – please state which ticket type you require as numbers will be limited. We will send a zoom invitation to all attendees anyway.
All Salon Events are free. We ask for a donation towards the evening’s costs, and we encourage people to buy us a coffee to help fund our work. Anthologies will be on sale throughout the event or can be purchased from our online shop.
Please return to this page for more information on our Special Guests.
Accessibility Notice:
Edinburgh Literary Salon is open to all those with an interest in all aspects of Literature, whether professional or personal, and to all parts of the industry: writers, publishers, booksellers etc. All are welcome, and events have free registration. While the Courtyard at The Outhouse is fully accessible, we cannot control the weather. For this reason, we will send livestream details to all ticket-holders who may join us on Zoom if they wish. We will strive to ensure adequate audibility, and straightforward registration. We invite positive feedback on how we can improve, even within our limitations as a non-funded organisation. As always, we welcome open conversation.
