Tuesday the 23rd of December, 2025, 6.30pm, In-person
With only two days to Christmas and all shopping done, come and join us at the Wash Bar for a Literary Salon focused on socialising!

Our December Salon is to be held at our old home, The Wash Bar, overlooking all the festivities of Princes Street Gardens in the heart of Edinburgh. We'll be upstairs, and there will be mince pies and chocolates, with a chance to win a simple Christmas Tree gifts in our festive raffle.
NOTE: we were hoping to hold this event on the 16th but were unable due to Steering Group membership commitments! And since we're so close to Christmas there won't be any kind of Presentation, so we'll not be livestreaming the event on zoom. Come and join us for a pared-down Salon where we can have a good blether about all things literary... or anything else!
As always it's free to attend the Salon. Sadly, we are unable to offer a glass of wine on arrival, but we hope to re-continue this tradition in the future.
Registration for the event can be found on Eventbrite. We encourage people to buy us a coffee to help fund our work. If you can’t afford to donate, you are still welcome. Our two anthologies are on sale here, and books will be available to purchase on the night.

We look forward to seeing you there, or if you can't make it: see you next year!
Accessibility Notice
Edinburgh Literary Salon is open to all with an interest in all aspects of Literature, whether professional or personal, and to all parts of the industry: writers, publishers, booksellers etc. While we aim to hold some events at accessible venues, this month's salon is in an upstairs room at The Wash Bar. We aim to livestream most events, but in this case zoom attendance isn't appropriate. Our January Salon will return to The Outhouse and livestreaming on Zoom. We invite positive feedback on how we can improve, even within our limitations as a non-funded organisation. We welcome open conversation.
