Tuesday the 27th of July, 6pm, on Zoom
It’s time to invite you to our coming Salon from Your Home, featuring writers from our forthcoming Anthology - with news from the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
For our July Salon we will be looking forward to August, with the return of the Book Festival, and our Anthology Launch coming up.
First, we will hear from Tamara Zimet about this year’s Book Festival, which runs from the 14th to 30th of August.
Next we will welcome a good friend of the Salon, Eleanor Pender, who will be talking with writers featured in our anthology, Andrew Jamieson, and Sara Sheridan.
We will also introduce Natalie Rowland, another of our anthology contributors.
Lost, Looking & Found is going to be launched on the 24th of August, and we are in the process of planning for an outdoor event… if we are able.
As always, the formal event will end after some participation and sharing of information, after which you are welcome to hang around in the zoom for more informal chatter. There will be an opportunity to join break-out rooms, and people can stay for as long or short a time as they wish.
How it works...
6pm: Welcome and Introduction.
6.20: Presentation: Edinburgh International Book Festival
6.35: Welcome Sara Sheridan and Andrew Jamieson
6.55: Information on launching Lost, Looking & Found.
7.05: Questions and Comments*
7.15: End of ‘formal’ Event - break-out rooms begin!
Please stick around for a drink and a chat (nb, provide your own drink!)
*We acknowledge that some people prefer to attend the Zoom without video, so we invite people to use the ‘comments’ section to give input, paste relevant links, and ask questions. We encourage attendees to say ‘bye’ if they so wish when departing! We will save any links from the comments to share to our mailing-list and social media, and we will not be recording the zoom.
While events are free, we encourage people to buy us a coffee to help fund the work of Edinburgh Literary Salon.
We look forward to seeing you in the zoom-room.
